It's a little Extreme, don't you agree?

Today I tried Upperfix Extreme from the 21dayfixextreme series. I'm not completing the 21dayfixExtreme but I have a few days before starting a Hammer & Chisel and I didn't want to get lackadaisical ....  I really like this workout because it works out the whole upper body.   There were 3 rounds after the brief  WARM UP ROUND 1 ( 2X ) - Full Push Up to Half Push Up (30 sec Full, 30 sec Half) - Wide Grip Lunge (30 sec heavy weight, 30 sec light weight) - Chest Flys (30 sec heavy, 30 sec light) if you are at the gym, you can use a bench to get more full range of motion- I used the floor  - Band Lat Pull Down (30 sec single arm, 30 sec both arms)  ROUND 2  (2X) - Military Press (30 sec heavy, 30 sec light) - Twisted Abs (30 sec heavy, 30 sec light) - Post Delt Fly to Hold (30 sec fly, 30 sec hold) - Dolphins (1 minute) ... I will use a mat next time because my carpet was not gripping my arms well.  ROUND 3  - Hammer Curls (30 sec heavy, 30 sec light) - Tricep Dips to Leg Up Dip

Between Fitness Programs and trying out some NEW MOVES

It's the days that fall after the Christmas Holidays that leave you feeling either plump and out of shape or whittled and fine because you took care of yourself through it all. I am feeling fine these days because I completed the 21dayfixkickstart and lost almost 9lbs and several inches and my clothes feel great! I've been able to squeeze back into my black skinny jeans that I wear with cute winter boots and I think I've developed a strut! I didn't work out for 3 days after completing my program but would you believe I kept losing weight? After I weighed and measure the 8.2 lbs I lost by Dec 24th, I was 2.5 lbs lighter by Dec 27th. I attribute it to the increased muscle I created because muscle burns more calories than fat....my body was being efficient for me while my regime took a break! I began with a #Cize routine...Crazy 8's....it's a fun and energetic dance workout that lasts 30 minutes and really gets the heart pumping... Today I tried the Bonus

The end of a good thing could mean continued success

I did it! I completed the 21 Day Fix Kickstart that I started Dec 1st. The kickstart began with a 3 Day Refresh & continued the rest of the 21 days with the  meal plan coordinated with the colored containers provided in the 21 day program   21DayFix   There was a 30 minute workout each day and even though I was dealing with a full time job and extended hours as well as travel I was committed to completion. I scheduled my workout and pre planned my meal choices every opportunity. I made smart choices when traveling and after using the containers consistently along with the   21 Day Fix App  I was able to eyeball my portions and track my daily "colors".  What actually took more time than anything was the editing of the videos and pics I posted daily on Facebook and Instagram because I wanted to caption what was taking place. No smoke & mirrors but real hard work & real results. Saturday, I worked my last day in a job I have only known since March 22

Are you in it for the long haul?

As I round the corner of week 3 of my 21 day fix fitness program, I have asked myself what is next. Will I finish day 21 and then fall prey to a case of the lazy's or will I be able to keep up the mindful choices of food and fitness to have made it all worthwhile? I sent a survey out asking what should be the next fitness program I take on and the results are in! It was close but The Masters Hammer & Chisel had the most votes and so January 4th I'll start that program and be a conduit to you to share my ups, downs, achievements and limitations. In the past 3 days I've completed  Dirty 30 Yoga Fix and I have to say that with each day it gets easier to keep this habit - I've stopped counting calories. Now I'm using simple portion control and 30-minute workouts to lose weight. It's working! @21DayFix....... looking forward to tomorrow's Upper Fix already........  Stay tuned!
